WSI23-11-Case-1
From MGH Learn Pathology
Cystic adult granulosa cell tumor. (See note).
Note: This is a very interesting case as well as challenging as most of the lining epithelium has been denuded and there is no growth of neoplastic cells with the typical architectural patterns protruding into the lumen of the cyst or within the cyst wall. However, the lining cells seem to palisade at the base and they also show nuclear grooves as seen in adult granulosa cell tumors. Immunostains performed at the outside institution including calretinin, WT1, and inhibin support the above diagnosis.
