Case | Clinical history | Requester | Diagnosis |
| Pigmented bulbar conjunctival lesion with clear cysts in a 22 year old | null | Compound conjunctival nevus. Note the typical plaque-like architecture and epithelial inclusion cysts. |
| Orange caruncular mass in a 43 year old | null | Oncyocytoma. Note the abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and cystic nature of the tumor • which is morphologically similar to oncyocytoma of other anatomic sites. The caruncle is histologically distinct as it is lined by conjunctival epithelium but contains subepithelial adnexal elements such as hair follicles and sebaceous glands. |
| 50 year old morbidly obese gentleman with obstructive sleep apena and eyelid laxity. | Aja51 | Papillary conjunctivitis in a patient with floppy eyelid syndrome. There is marked hyperplasia of the conjunctival epitheilum with promient subepithelial fibrovascular proliferation and intraepithelial neutrophils. Also note the scarring of the tarsus with cystic dilation of the Meibomian glands • which is often seen in floppy eyelid syndrome. |
