2021 Harvard-Affiliated Residency Showcase
September 11, 2021
The Harvard-Affiliated Residency Programs Showcase gives fourth-year medical students, especially from groups underrepresented in medicine, an avenue to meet Harvard-affiliated residency program directors, attending physicians, fellows and residents and learn more about the hospitals and individual residency programs that are offered at HMS-affiliated hospitals.
Participation eligibility:
- must be a 3rd- or 4th-year medical student
- must attend a LCME-accredited or AOA-accredited school
- must identify as having a background in, or having strong support, of underrepresented and disadvantaged populations

Introduction
1. Are you a UIM (underrepresented in medicine) undergraduate student, medical student or current Pathology resident interested in learning more about or pursuing the field of Pathology? 2. Are you interested in Pathology and potentially interested in doing an external Pathology clerkship at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Pathology (Boston, MA) or elsewhere? | ![]() |
If any of these are true, there are pathologists at MGH Pathology who would be happy to talk it you to share their enthusiasm about the field pf Pathology and answer all of your questions about:
- Pathology as a career,
- How to set up a Pathology clerkship at a program like MGH, and
- Answer questions about the application process

- Harvard Medical School Visiting Clerkship Program
- The Visiting Clerkship Program (VCP), sponsored by the Minority Faculty Development Program of the Harvard Medical School (HMS) Office for Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership, provides support for fourth-year and qualified third-year medical students from groups underrepresented in medicine as defined by the AAMC, including, but not limited to, African-American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian/Alaska Native, to participate in the HMS Exchange Clerkship Program.
