DZI20-218-Case-3
57 year old male with parotid mass and left facial palsy.
High-grade carcinoma. Note: The differential diagnosis includes mucoepidermoid carcinoma, carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma, salivary ductal carcinoma and a metastatic carcinoma. While the focally metaplastic, adenosquamoid, appearance of the malignant cells would be most compatible with one of the primary salivary gland malignancies, it does not exclude a metastasis. Clinical correlation is therefore required.
