Understanding wiki templates
Templates are standard wiki pages whose content is designed to be transcluded (embedded) inside other pages. You can learn more about templates from this MediaWiki article, but in short:
- You know you are seeing/using a template when you see something that starts with {{
- Templates accept parameters; the number of parameters is determined by the template
- On Learn, we use several templates, but these are two common and very useful ones to know:
