Leiomyosarcoma of left hip region

A. LEFT FEMUR DISTAL MORROW MARGIN:

Bone marrow with maturing trilineage hematopoiesis. There is no evidence of malignancy. B. LEFT PROXIMAL FEMUR EXCISION: Metastatic leiomyosarcoma (6.2 cm) (see note). Margins are negative for sarcoma (closest anterior and posterior soft tissue margins are 0.2 cm from sarcoma). Healing fracture site. Bone marrow with maturing trilineage hematopoiesis

Note: By immunohistochemistry the tumor is diffusely positive for muscle actin, SMA, caldesmon and desmin.
